When adding a new wallet address to your Allowlist, the requested verification code is not the same as the 2FA code in your Authenticator app. Your Authenticator codes will not work to verify the address.
Instead, the verification code is sent via email to the email address associated with your BlockFi account.
If you’re using the correct verification code and are still seeing an error message, it’s possible the error is related to the name you've chosen for the address.
- The name of the new wallet address cannot be the same as one that's already been used for a different wallet address on your Allowlist.
- For example, if you already have a BTC wallet address in your Allowlist labeled “Wallet_A”, you cannot add a new ETH wallet address named “Wallet_A” despite the address belonging to a different asset.
If the problem persists after trying the steps above, please contact a BlockFi client service representative. You can do so by clicking the Chat icon on the bottom right of this page.
